Strategic Planning

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. A strategic plan is a plan for the future of your business. However, the best strategic plan is useless if it is just published and placed on a shelf. Your entire organization should know the goals of the plan and how they can support it.

  • Are you spending a majority of time working on your business rather than in your business?
  • Are the heads of departments focused on key duties within their departments rather than spending a significant amount of their time or resources in other aspects of the business?
  • Do you have a plan in place to absorb duties if your company has a vacancy in a key position?
  • Do you retain your customers?
  • Do you know what the components are that make up the costs of producing your revenue and do you have a plan to reduce or control those costs?
  • Is your manufacturing or service business scalable for growth or reduction in sales?
  • Have you identified the key drivers for your business and the impact of outside forces on those drivers?
  • Do you have a financial analysis report that shows key metrics to attain profitability?
  • Are you planning on acquiring a company? Have you performed adequate due diligence to attain the proper information on how the acquisition will affect cash flow as well as profitability.
  • Is there potential to merge with another company? Do you have the proper financial reporting tools to forecast the affects the merger will have on cashflow and profitability?

If you answered "No" to any of the questions above, we can help you. If an employee cannot tie their daily activities to the strategic plan, then they are not contributing effectively toward the success of your business. If you spend all of your time focusing on the now versus the future of the business then you are very likely to miss opportunities for growth. We can assist you in clearly defining your future mission of the business and develop strategies and an organizational chart needed to achieve that mission.
